With that being said, I’m not sure my review will be completely fair. This is also the first one in the series that I’ve read. The Spy is Sophie Lark’s fourth instalment in the Kingmakers series surrounding a new set of students, all while still incorporating characters from past novels. Nix will have to be cautious with her new friendships- someone’s not telling the truth. Being cooped up from the rest of the world, she doesn’t realize the kind of reputation her father has, even in their criminal world, and not everyone is as welcoming as she hoped. She’s ready to head to Kingmakers College, a respected and well known school in the mafia world where instead of Statistics and English, you’re taught bribery, extortion and interrogation. Nix Moroz, daughter of the powerful and feared Marco Moroz, is tired of living her solitary life surrounded only by her father’s men. Her father took everything from him, and it’s time for someone to pay- as long as he doesn’t fall in love with her first. Three years pretending to be someone else. Three years scheming, spying and plotting. Three years for the moment she crosses his path. It’s been three years since his world was flipped upside down.
